I believe each student has the ability and desire to learn and it is my responsibility to inspire and guide them in an engaging, safe, and enlightening manner.
I believe when I effectively teach the students, they will better understand the world around them. As they transition into adulthood, they will be best prepared for the challenges that await them, both personally and professionally
I believe each child learns differently than another. It is my responsibility to present information in a manner that students can understand. I also recognize that it is important to continue to use new & different methods of teaching. This not only helps to keep students engaged, but also helps them to gain a deeper understanding of the subject matter, rather than what is merely on the surface.
I believe youth have the ability to learn from one another. I will ensure there are opportunities for youth to interact with one another. I will strive to teach students how to work in effective teams to tackle the challenges put in front of them.
I believe youth have the ability to make educated decisions. I will guide them understand how to look beyond the surface of their challenge and recognize the ripple effects their decisions can have on themselves and others.
I believe I am entrusted by the community to put forth my best effort. I will strive to fulfill this expectation.
I believe a child’s education is not limited to the classroom. As a teacher, it is my responsibility to work with the parents, school leadership, other educators, and the community to ensure each student has everything they need to be successful. It is important for a student to understand how each of their classes relate to one another.
I believe it is my responsibility to proactively engage in professional development opportunities so I can provide students with the highest level of education possible.
I believe adequate planning is required to be successful. I will plan my lessons to ensure adequate time to prepare. I recognize that I must be flexible to accommodate the students needs and ability to grasp the concepts.
I believe that students’ evaluations need to take into account their entire learning experience. While written evaluations may provide deep insight to a students’ knowledge, listening to questions they ask and recognizing their involvement in class can provide a lot of insight regarding how well they are grasping the information.
I believe that each individual classroom has a global impact on society. I will strive to ensure my classroom has ‘glass walls’, so students can understand how their education is relevant in our world.
I believe serving society as an educator is among the most prestigious callings one can be asked to serve. It is my responsibility to exceed the high standards set for educators.
My vision is each youth leaving my classroom as a productive adult.
