I am a highly motivated individual who seeks to better the community & those around me.
Life is all about experiences. Was it enjoyable? Did you learn from it? Would you do it again? Would you do it differently? No matter the answer to the questions, it is what makes you.
My Experiences? I cannot complain.

Scouting
I started my Scouting path as a young kid joining Cub Scout Pack 72 in Woodbury, NJ. Throughout my 20+ years of Scouting, I have had many great great leadership and training opportunities, and have had the opportunity to experience various activities and places that I may have never otherwise been able to experience. I gained much insight to leadership in practice as I served as Lodge Chief of Te’kening Lodge. I had the opportunity to serve in most of the available roles for various National Youth leadership Training (formally Junior Leader Training) Courses, including Instructor, Senior patrol Leader, and Assistant Scoutmaster. For more than 15 years, I was able to serve as a member of the Summer Camp staff in roles including the rough rider program (1st year camper) Area Director, Aquatics Director, and Professional Staff Advisor. I always felt that I had a unique view of the Boy Scout Program, having seen the program through the eyes of a Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Venturer, Volunteer, and Professional.
Highlight Experiences:
Earning the Eagle Scout Rank
It is a privilege & honor to share this experience with the few who have earned the Highest Rank in the boy scout program.
Hiking Shenandoah National Park
At a teenager, I has the opportunity to hike approx. 50 miles of the Appalachian Trail. The hike took us through Shenandoah National Park in Virginia.
Canoeing the Boundary Waters of Minnesota
As a teenager, I had the opportunity to canoe approx. 40 miles in the Boundary Waters of Minnesota. The week-long trip was absolutely stunning as we explored the vast, undisturbed wilderness.
SCUBA Diving at the Baltimore Aquarium
Seeing the smile on a young kids face as I played “rock, paper, scissors” through the glass is one I will never forget.
13-State Roadtrip
During the fall of 2014, I was presented with the opportunity to help my cousin move back to New Jersey, from Arizona. I made a commitment to myself to have as many experiences as possible during my trip. Highlights of my trip included hiking around the Garden of the Gods, riding the cog railroad up to Pikes Peak, visiting the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo during a special halloween event, exploring the Philmont Scout Ranch base camp, exploring Rocky Mountain National Park including a 8.9 mile round-trip hike to Flattop Mountain, and visiting Las Vegas, the Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon, and St. Louis Arch.
2010 National Scout Jamboree
In 2010, during the 100th anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America, I had the opportunity to help staff the National Jamboree. The event hosted over 50,000 participants and the chance to interact with people of such diverse backgrounds was remarkable. Listening to Mike Rowe’s keynote speech focused on “A Scout is clean, but not afraid to get dirty” was inspiring. (Mike Rowe is a distinguished eagle scout and TV host)
